Although Photon Lighting Design is a new star in the night sky, we are built on a 25+ year history of diverse, sustainable and exceptional project experiences. From tiny retail pop-ups to billion dollar multi-building campuses, Photon brings a treasure trove of experience, innovation and expertise to your team. The lighting design and often the control system design for all of the projects listed and shown on this site were personally designed, detailed and overseen by Photon’s founder, Zachary Suchara while he was the Director of Design for Luma Lighting Design.

Zach has led the design of over 600 built and occupied projects across the US, in Europe and in Asia over his 25 year career. His work has received over 150 architecture and interior lighting design awards and over 100 of which have been published in local, regional nad national publications.

We are a new company with a deep, rich history of delivering great design.
